Born 1973, Kawakawa

Indira Neville grew up in the far North, but it was in Hamilton that she underwent her "comics birth" thanks to Oats Comics, "my brother [ Stefan Nveille ] and Oats made me realise anyone could do comics and so I did!"

Her solo comic is Nice Gravy, but she has also drawn several other minicomics, solo and in collaboration with Clayton Noone and Stefan Neville, and also contributed to various Oats anthologies. "I try and balance out all the peckers in Oats".

She has also been published in two Australian zines: LoserGurrrl Zine and My Life as a Mega RIch Bombshell. She has been interviewed in Losergurrrl Zine and Bite me Fag Boy.

Indira is also the Principal of Mulberry Grove School on Great Barrier Island in New Zealand. She is especially interested in developing a competency-based curriculum and likes hanging out with her daughter, making comics, watching Coronation Street and eating mashed potato.
